Precise, Reliable & Inexpensive Finite Element Analysis.
For Immediate Release:
LEI SOFTWARE, based in San Diego, CA a division of LAPCAD Engineering, Inc., announces the release of LapFEA.
LapFEA is a finite element modeling and analysis application, used by mechanical engineers in the aeronautical, aerospace, automotive, electronics, marine, machine, mechanical and medical industries.
Capabilities include a 3-D pre-processor, a 32-bit static and dynamic solver, a post-processor displaying color shaded contours of stresses and displacements, and an animator displaying frequency eigen vectors and static displacements. The program can also be used as a front end for NASTRAN. CAD models in the form of IGES and DXF files can be imported and used as a starting point for creating finite element models. The geometry can also be created within LapFEA as a stand-alone application.
LapFEA’s tool set includes editing at the element and group levels, allowing the analyst to enhance and expand existing finite element models. The program runs on Macintosh OS 9.1, Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista. Customers need to specify their operating system when ordering.
LapFEA is available in several sizes, starting at US$299.00, which includes a 60,000 degree of freedom solver. An initial discount of 50% is available through the end of March 2008. One license provides for installation on one computer. Additional installations are available at a 10% cost for each computer owned by the license holder.
